Rental Charges

The following is a list of charges that can and/or will be assessed to your rental car invoice:

      Fuel Charges. A charge of actual fuel fees plus $2.50/gallon will be assessed to all customers returning a vehicle with less than a full tank of gas unless rental agreement states that the vehicle was rented with less than a full tank of fuel. If that should occur, customer would only be required to fill the vehicle to the previous amount. Customers who travel less than 50 miles during the rental MUST provide a receipt proving that the tank was topped off prior to return or a top off fee of $15.00 (fifteen dollars) will be assessed.
      Cleaning Fees. A charge of $75.00 (seventy-five dollars) and up will be charged to any customer who returns a vehicle deemed excessively dirty.
      Animals in Vehicle.Pets may be allowed in our vehicles. If there is no other option or a pet must accompany you, we will impose a $75 fee to the rental and a possible cleaning/detailing fee. If you have a pet that you did not disclose to us prior to the rental, we will charge a $150 pet fee and additional cleaning/detailing fees.
      Customers need to keep pets crated and return their rental car in clean condition and free of pet hair. Service animals used by customers with disabilities are allowed in the vehicle without a carrier.
      Smoking Fees. A fee of $500.00 (five hundred dollars) plus any other damages and cleaning fees will be assessed to all customers who smoke any substance in the rental vehicle. The cleaning fee starts at $75.00 (seventy-five dollars). (Yes, rolling down the window and flicking ashes out of the window is still considered smoking in the vehicle.)
      Late Fees. While we do not have a late fee policy, a grace period of 59 minutes is given to any person returning a vehicle. After the grace period, the customer will be charged an additional day, every 24 hours, until the vehicle is returned. Any person failing to return a vehicle within 48 hours of the due back date and time will be turned into the authorities as a stolen vehicle.
      Damages. Customer is responsible for and will pay Lessor on demand for all missing equipment, loss or damage to the vehicle regardless of whether the customer is at fault. If customer does not violate the terms and conditions (in part or in whole) of the rental agreement AND if the customer, by signing the appropriate paperwork upon initial rental of vehicle has accepted and paid for the Lessor's Renter's Collision Protection Insurance, customer will be limited to the first $250.00 (two-hundred and fifty dollars) as deductible plus any other amounts not covered under the R.C.P. Insurance policy (towing, loss of use, storage, filing fees, administrative fees, or other liquid damages). If customer violates any of the terms of the rental agreement or fails to call the authorities to the scene of an accident or loss, Customer will be responsible for the full amount of damage, even if he has accepted and paid for Renter's Collision Protection.
